Outreach Ministries of Alabama (OMA) is a Christian discipleship program for men seeking freedom from life-controlling addictions. The year-long program provides a structured environment where men can step away from the addictions and environments that have shaped their lives and begin pursuing lasting transformation through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through biblical teaching, discipleship, accountability, and practical preparation, OMA equips men to build a Christ-centered life and walk in freedom from addiction. The ministry’s desire is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel and men equipped to live out their faith in their families, churches, and communities.
Prayer Requests
Pray for the OMA staff as they faithfully serve and disciple the men in the program.
Pray for the students, that they would take their commitment seriously, pursue God wholeheartedly, and allow Him to transform their lives.
Pray for continued financial provision for the upkeep of the property and housing for staff and students.
Pray for clear direction and wisdom as OMA looks toward the future and considers how God is leading the ministry into the next generation.
Priority Evangelism
Ken Pounders is a missionary evangelist serving throughout the United States, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Central America. In 1998, Ken and his wife, Sonya, founded Priority Evangelism as a world evangelism training and sending organization. For more than 40 years, they have devoted themselves to church planting, missionary evangelism, and residential discipleship.
Ken and Sonya also direct Outreach Ministries of Alabama, a 12-month residential discipleship program in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama, that helps men overcome addiction and establish a Christ-centered life.
