This Week | God Whisperer

Does your horse have a horrible habit?  Does your puppy have a potty problem?  Pesky poltergeists in your pantry?  Badly behaved baby balking at her bottle?  No worries - get yourself a whisperer!  Whispering is a busy industry as of late.  Robert Redford whispers to horses.  Cesar Millan whispers to dogs.  Jennifer Love Hewitt meanders about whispering to ghosts.  You can even buy a book to learn how to whisper to your own baby!  The claims of these "whisperers" are fundamentally the same.  They are special people who have an innate ability to communicate with animals, ghosts, and/or infants in a way that most of us cannot to emulate. 

If only we had a personal whisperer for every problem...  Is there a marriage whisperer?  What about a parent of an angry teenage child whisperer?  Will someone please whisper to my checking account?  The bottom line is, we are perfectly suited for doing our own whispering - and Jesus Christ provided some excellent insight into how we should be whispering and to Whom we should be whispering to.  Jesus taught His followers that they could speak directly to God.  His teachings included "don't babble", don't pray like the "religious" with their long and showy prayers.  Jesus Christ taught that we could communicate with God, without the intercession of a whisperer, or anyone else for that matter.  We. Can. Talk. To. God. 

Whisper if you want to.  He's listening.
